Abducted Imo Catholic Priest Regains Freedom

A Catholic church priest, Rev Fr. Michael Ifeanyichukwu Asomugha, who was kidnapped in Imo State, has regained his freedom.
Asomugha is the assistant parish priest of the St. Paul’s Catholic church in Osu, Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State
He was kidnapped on Saturday, April 15, 2023, along Oriagu-Obowo Road while on his way back from the Diocesan Diaconate Ordination.
The Vitam Missionaries and one of his parishioners, Chinedu Osuji, confirmed on Sunday morning that the cleric had been freed on Saturday, April 29, 2023 and is currently receiving medical treatment in a hospital.
“Fr Michael Asomugha of St Paul’s Catholic Church OSU in Anara has been freed from his abductors, we have been praying and offered daily Holy Masses for his freedom, stigmatist Rev Sister Martina Oforka also helped with her prayers. May Jesus be praised.” he wrote
