Jealous woman ‘pushed boyfriend to his death from 100ft-high hotel balcony

A Turkish court heard how a British tourist pushed her boyfriend to his death from their hotel balcony after a heated argument.

According to Mail Online, Reece Pegram, 21, died instantly after falling 100 feet from a five-star hotel in Side, Antalya, where he was staying with Mary Meyers Kayley, on the night of March 12.

Earlier this week, the court in Manavgat heard that when police investigated the death, they discovered bloodstains all over the couple’s room.

The pair had been drinking heavily for several hours before the incident, according to hotel staff.

Kayley, 31, was said to be so drunk that hotel staff had to take her to her room, while court documents stated Pegram went to the hotel lobby around 8 p.m. for booze but was refused service because he was already inebriated.

During the post-mortem examination, traces of cocaine were reportedly discovered in Pegram’s body.

Prosecutors testified at the trial that the couple rowed furiously in the moments before Pegram’s death. However, when questioned by police following the incident, Kayley, who is facing 24 years in prison for murder, denied killing her boyfriend.
